What an amazing week we had during MATHS WEEK 2024 celebrating all thing Maths both in school and at home.
Students took part in a wide variety of activities across all classes.
Seesaw accounts were filled with maths challenges and classes took part in a number of exciting Maths Week activities creating a wonderful learning buzz about the school.
Maths Week Junior School Visits
Thursday saw the continuation of our wonderful cross campus learning when students from Junior Infants to First class welcomed our 4th class into their maths lessons.
They played card games, matching, puzzles, snakes and ladders to name but a few. It was fantastic to hear so much Maths talk throughout the corridors.
Third class in the senior school hosted students from 2nd Class in the junior school. Spaghetti and marshmallows were turned into magnificent sculptures, geo boards were filled with unusual shapes. Students became the teachers and Maths ideas filled the classrooms.
Maths Week Senior School Class Visits
The Maths fun continued across classes on Friday where all classes from 3rd to 6th had the opportunity to host and visit a partner class throughout the day. Students showcased some really amazing homemade Maths activities that ranged from spinning wheels to puzzles using nerf guns to complete maths sums.
