At Mary Mother of Hope, we are proud to embrace the rich diversity that makes our community so special. Intercultural Week 2025 is a much-anticipated highlight of the school year — a time when we come together to celebrate and learn from the many cultures that form the heart of our school.
Intercultural Week is more than just a celebration; it reflects our commitment to understanding, respect, and unity. It brings our school motto, "Many Cultures, One Community," to life in a vibrant and meaningful way. Throughout the week, students, parents, and staff will engage in a wide range of exciting activities that showcase the traditions, languages, music, art, and stories from around the world.
Highlights of the Week Include:
Parents in Classrooms: Throughout the week, parents will visit classes to share stories, traditions, foods, and experiences from their cultures. These special talks offer students a unique opportunity to connect personally with the rich tapestry of our school community.
Intercultural Exhibition: Our school hall will transform into a colourful exhibition space. Students and families will have the chance to explore displays representing cultures from every corner of the globe — through art, artifacts, and costumes.
Show Your Colours to the World Day: On Friday, we invite everyone to dress in traditional attire or colours that represent their heritage. This joyful day is a fun, visual reminder of the beauty of our diversity and the strength of our unity.
Intercultural Week promises to be a week full of learning, fun, and new friendships — a reminder that while we come from many different backgrounds, we stand together as one proud community. We are excited for everyone to take part, and we can’t wait to see how our students and families will bring their cultures to life!
A huge thanks to the parents and teachers who bring this week to fruition every year. Make sure to check back later in the week for some photographs of the events!
