'Funky Hair Day' Ukraine Appeal

Dear Parents,

This week and next, we are celebrating ‘Seachtain na Gaeilge’, where we have a special emphasis on all things Irish- the language, culture, music and dance.

The day before St. Patrick’s Day, we celebrate ‘Lá Glas’ (Green Day) where children come to school wearing Green. We use this day to host a Funky Hair Day, as a fundraiser for the Parents Association.

‘Lá Glas’ and Funky Hair day will be celebrated next Wednesday, the 16th March. This year we are asking pupils to make a suggested donation of €2 to the Irish Red Cross, to support their work with refugees from the crisis in Ukraine. We will send out a link on Aladdin where parents can make this payment.

I have already spoken to the children in school about this very worthy cause, and I know that you will be very generous in your support also.
