Bank Holiday Reminder

A reminder to all that the school will be closed this coming Monday, February 3rd, in celebration of St. Brigid's Day.

St. Brigid of Kildare is one of Ireland’s most beloved saints, known for her compassion, wisdom, and miraculous deeds. Born in the 5th century, she was a contemporary of St. Patrick and played a vital role in spreading Christianity throughout Ireland. Brigid was renowned for her generosity, often giving food and clothing to the poor, and for her deep connection to nature and animals. She founded the famous monastery of Kildare, which became a center of learning, spirituality, and art. St. Brigid’s Cross, woven from rushes, is a well-known symbol of protection in Irish tradition. Her feast day, celebrated on February 1st, marks the beginning of spring and is associated with renewal, fertility, and hope.
